“Body-positive yoga” is gaining prominence, there is a burgeoning community of #curvyyoga practitioners on Instagram who boast tens of thousands of engaged followers. Jessamyn, who Instagrams her poses at @mynameisjessamyn, what started as a way to get feedback from other Instayogis on her alignment.

We talk about becoming a yoga teacher, yoga as a therapy, her journey and the future.

Stanley’s is one of many individuals helping to grow an online community that will help to change the face of yoga.

“I think that it’s just so critical for people to be able to see different kinds of bodies doing things that they did not initially believe that they’re capable of,” Stanley says. “We are shown as a society that having a curvaceous body is a problem, that it’s something you have to change.”

There is no doubt that you will be left inspired.
